A native of Buffalo, NY, Alexander has been involved in music starting at a very young age. At the age of nine he picked up his first instrument, an alto saxophone, where he performed in his middle school and high school jazz bands and ensembles. He also studied a variety of instruments including drums, sax, and guitar under the late jazz great Frank Garzanti Sr., residing from Niagara Falls, NY. While under Frank"s study, he quickly gained an ear for all types of musical expression."To me it isn't what instrument you play, it's not about the instrument, it's about the life form coming through the instrument. When I play, I play from my soul, from my experiences, my sorrows, my anger, and my joy." states Alex. Alex has also been involved in his high school chorus and jazz choir.

Since grade school Alexander has electrified audiences from West Virginia to New York with his dynamic playing and frenetic energy. While at college, Alex was involved in a handful of bands and really tapped into his inner musical abilities. "It is essential to immerse yourself around positive musical influences. It helps you grow as a musician in every aspect." states Alex. He often enlivens both his band members and crowds with his catchy and catching enthusiasm, dexterous playing, and the desire to make pure music that reflects his 60s, 70s, and 80s musical influences.

Alex's versatility allows him to play lead guitar, piano, and write lyrics with his band, Free Henry!. His guiding principle in making music is the same in choosing music: whatever moves him emotionally. He holds to this principle while in the studio and on stage, creating musical evocation that blends poetic lyrics with well-crafted music. His devotion to his craft has helped him create music that allows his listener to get back to rock's roots, to groove with the world, and to see nature in all of its beauty---to, as Emerson says, "align genius with practical power."

It is very evident that music to Alex is life and his life is music. "Music to me is such a magnificent force. It is a life force that can connect you with a total stranger and bring eternal happiness whenever you click play." states Alexander.
